Because TICkA wants to keep learning, we regularly attend workshops ourselves.
Last Friday, Joost Joossen brought TICkA into action with his workshop HOKUS POKUS FOCUS. A two-part workshop in which both literal focus in photography, as well as focus at work were the main topics. Being able to continue working focused on the tasks that you set for the day is incredibly valuable.
However, in practice, we are very frequently interrupted in our workflow by internal or external incentives. The continuous switching of tasks requires a lot of energy. Energy that we could use in a more targeted way. Rings a bell?Certainly for our team! We discovered various personal differences. Where one colleague can focus best when he is alone and in silence, the other can do this better with headphones with the necessary “beats”. Self-knowledge is the key to figuring out what keeps you in the correct workflow.
Some ways that TICkA colleagues are already implementing:
– Work in time slots of for example 45 minutes and then pause for 5 minutes
– Mute pop up messages on laptop and mobile phone
– Put on some headphones
– Top 3 tasks to start the day
Curious how this can work for you? We are happy to support you in this!
